Thank heaven for little girls...
I had the best time photographing my cousins little girl. Little Z is the cutest little girl; even my Jordan had a great time with her. Still working on the rest of the photo's but I had to post a couple.

I really want to win this give away....
Since I have started this venture in the photography world I have discovered a whole plethora of incredibly talented and giving photographers online. It's amazing how many beautiful web sites and blogs are out there. One of my favorite sites that I visit everyday is The Savvy Photographer. This blog is full of wonderful information for photographers. Sources galore!! I just love it...and I especially love the weekly give aways!

A Day In the Life...
No, this wasn't taken on Halloween this is an image captured on 09/09/09! I grabbed the boys for a 2 minute photo shoot and I had to interupt super hero time.

All too often I find myself in a rush; rush to get to work, to get home, to get to bed, to eat, to get the kids to school. Rarely do I find time to relax and let my kids be kids and do things they like to do. I decided to take the day with my sons and compromise :) I took them exploring and let them run, jump, climb stone walls, explore trails, and peek inside this dilapidated "secret haunted barn" that we found along the way. While they explored I snapped some priceless shots of them just BEING. It was a perfect morning for all.

My babies first day of FIRST GRADE...where has the time gone?!
I have been waiting for this day for 6 years 5 months and 3 days...no more full time daycare expense!! As happy as that is I still cannot believe that my babies are in first grade they didn't even want me to walk them in! They had an excellent first day and are ready to go back for day #2. (Oh don't pay any attention to Aiden's shiner...he got into it with a swing 3 days before school)

My First Paying Gig!!
On August 9, 2009 Mike and Lindsy Cooke shared their marriage with their family and friends; and I had the pleasure of being their wedding photographer. I am so honored that they chose me! It was a rainy day in the NH, but it did not steal from the beauty of this union. In fact I believe that it made the ceremony even more beautiful. Thank you Lindsy and Mike for making me part of your day!

Etsy.com
I am soooooo excited to have found the wonderful world of Etsy.com. Yes, I know it has been around for quite some time, but I had no idea what it actually had to offer. I have looked around in the past...but never spent any really time. Mostly because I didn't know what to look for, I couldn't really think of anything I needed. Well, I am excited to have a photo session soon with a couple twin boys that are only 3 months old, and I was interested in a couple of knit hats that I've seen photographer's use....oh my....did I find hats, and bonnets and the tu-tu's!!! I also stumbled upon the incredible world of Photoshop Templates....who knew that there were so many graphic designers out there that are uber talented and EXACTLY what I need to give my photo's a little edge!! So, here are my first attempts at using the templates. Big shout out to Natalie Layton from Etsy.com and her great designs!!

I am just beginning my journey in photography. I love everything about holding a camera in my hand. I have always loved photography, but have only recently begun to make something of it. In 3 short months I photographed my first wedding for free and had two paying weddings booked. I love taking pictures of children and families! I am very critical of my own work, but am very humbled by all of the rave reviews I have received about my work thus far. I hope to one day become good enough to call my self a professional. For now I'll go with "serious amature".
